CESENA, Italy – On September 29, REPA participated in a food collection initiative to support the European Food Bank Federation (FEBA), celebrating the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste promoted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
All REPA employees in Italy and Germany were invited to collect and bring food to their headquarters for donation to FEBA’s local food banks.
The organizations in charge of distributing food to people in need: Dachauer Tafel in Germany, Fondazione Banco Alimentare and Associazione Emporio Solidale “Il Barco” di Cesena in Italy. France will take part in the country’s national food collection days at the end of November.

The food donation was not the only charitable initiative involving REPA in recent weeks. On September 26, Gabriele Nanni, Sales Director Italy, and Mauro Barresi, Key Account Manager QSR & Global Accounts, participated in the Golf Tournament and Charity Dinner organized by the Ronald McDonald Italia ETS Children’s Foundation at the Magazzini del Sale in Cervia.
The event aimed to raise funds for the foundation’s institutional activities, a non-profit charitable organization that supports families with sick children in times of need.
