Chateraise, the Japanese confectionary brand, will launch its first unmanned store in Singapore next month, marking the firm’s first international outlet.
Located in Bukit Batok, the 280sqft establishment features a 24-hour self-checkout counter where customers can collect their desserts any time they want.
“The biggest advantage of being open 24 hours is that customers living nearby can purchase products immediately without having to wait in line when they want to eat,” Masayuki Matsuoka, director of Chateraise Singapore, told The Straits Times.
Chateraise introduced its first unmanned store in Tokyo’s Nishi-Azabu neighbourhood last year.
