Spanish coffee roaster and vending machine product supplier Qualery is eyeing further international opportunities following record revenues last year.

The Toledo-based business achieved 70% sales growth in 2023 to reach €12m ($13m).

Qualery produced 1,100 tons of instant coffee, tea and hot chocolate and 1,600 tons of powdered dairy milk last year, which it supplies to the vending machine industry.

Ninety percent of Qualery’s products are distributed in Spain, including via the country’s leading vending machine operators Delikia and Selecta.

The coffee roaster also produced approximately 600 tons of specialty coffee last year which it supplies to horeca clients across Spain. Its total hospitality partner and vending machine network encompasses 12,000 points of sale across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

“In 2023 we have grown a record 70%. In 2024 we will strengthen our international expansion and we will continue working to offer the best quality in all our products: from specialty coffee to cocoa, milk powder or blends, strengthening our brand positioning in the automatic distribution sector,” said Saúl Álvarez, CEO, Qualery.

Established in 2000, Qualery’s hospitality segment also includes the distribution of Sanremo espresso machines and a range of Qualery-branded paper, biodegradable and compostable coffee.

In October 2023, Qualery completed the €1m ($1.1m) expansion of its dairy and soluble production lines at its Toledo facility which it said will enable production capacity to triple in 2024.
