Oatly Group AB (Nasdaq: OTLY) and Nestlé Nespresso have announced a collaboration to introduce a new coffee blend tailored for oat drink consumers. The limited-edition Oatly Barista Edition Coffee has been designed to complement the flavor and texture of Oatly’s oat-based beverage and is available exclusively for Nespresso Vertuo coffee machines.

The partnership between the Swedish oat drink producer and the Swiss coffee company aims to cater to the growing number of consumers opting for plant-based milk alternatives. According to ProVeg data, 50% of consumers in the US and Europe, and two-thirds of consumers in the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions, now use plant-based milk products.

We know more and more people are reaching for plant-based drinks when preparing their favorite coffee recipe, which is why we are thrilled about our partnership with Oatly.”

Developed jointly by coffee specialists from both companies, the Oatly Barista Edition Coffee blend is described as having rich, biscuity notes that enhance the sweetness and creaminess of oat milk. It is characterized by its cereal-like aromatics, light body, low bitterness, and smooth texture.
The product officially launched on January 28, 2025, and is available for purchase in more than 15 countries, including the US, the U.K., China, and Australia. Consumers can buy the blend through Nespresso’s online store and retail boutiques for a limited time.
