Australian dairy co-operative Norco has unveiled its newest ice cream range, Cape Byron, which features chunky inclusions on an ice cream stick.
The innovation is made possible by the company’s recent “state-of-the-art” machine at its Lismore ice cream factory, which makes it the first in the country to produce ice cream with inclusions up to two centimetres in size.
Initial flavours include Choco Lava Brownie, featuring milk chocolate ice cream, brownie bites, and dark chocolate flakes; Affogato, made with Robusta coffee ice cream, chocolate-coated hazel nut pieces, and dark chocolate flakes’ and Classic Cookie Dough, made with oversized cookie dough chinks, chocolate biscuit pieces, choc sauce, and finished with a choc cookie crumb shell.
Norco GM for commercial and strategy, Ben Menzies, highlighted the company’s commitment to catering to the “evolving tastes” of Aussie consumers.
“Research shows that 39 per cent of Aussie consumers want to explore new and exciting ice cream experiences, and tapping into emerging food trends is the key to capturing this market segment,” he explains.
“With Norco Cape Byron stick range, every delicious bite is rewarded starting with the crack of the chocolate shell, the crunchy, chewy satisfaction of the mouthfuls of texture, the creamy and delicious famous Norco ice cream, and the sheer richness of the ripple.”
The Norco Cape Byron Sticks are available in a pack of four at Coles nationwide for an RRP of $11.50.
