Austin, Texas-based MALK Organics, founded in 2015, has expanded its product portfolio with three plant-based creamers — Vanilla Almond, Caramel Almond, and Lightly Sweetened Oat — following its latest funding round completed this March.

According to a press release, MALK has “remained the #1 fastest-growing plant-based milk across all markets and has more than doubled its distribution” in the past year. This claim is seemingly supported by various publications and market intelligence reports stating the company has “grown faster than the industry average”, a market report listing the brand as a leading player in the market, and a Forbes piece describing its revenue growth last year. We have reached out to MALK to discuss further.

“There aren’t many clean creamer options out there […] we have made it our mission to change this”

The interest in MALK’s products, certified organic and containing 3-5 ingredients with no added gums, fillers, or oils, falls in line with the growing demand for short ingredient lists and corroborates a recent decade-long study predicting that clean label is set to dominate the market in the coming two years.

The new line of creamers contains organic almonds or organic gluten-free oats, filtered water, organic coconut sugar, soluble tapioca fiber, baking soda, Himalayan pink salt, and organic vanilla extract for the vanilla SKU. Says MALK, since the products are made without artificial whiteners, “consumers can expect authentic, rich, and dark hues”, from the milks.

MALK also offers MALK oat and almond drinks, shelf-stable milks, cashew, chocolate, and a seasonal holiday egg nog introduced last fall.

“Following our recent funding, distribution expansion, and successful launches of Shelf Stable and Cashew, we’re excited to announce the latest addition to the MALK family – cleaner Creamers,” said MALK’s CEO Jason Bronstad. “There aren’t many clean creamer options out there for those looking for a rich, tasty supplement to their coffee, tea, or matcha. So we have made it our mission to change this by offering simple ingredient creamers that don’t sacrifice delicious flavor.”

MALK Creamers will be rolling out nationwide in Sprouts, in select Whole Foods, Erewhon, Fresh Thyme, and other retailers beginning mid-June.
