Swedish coffee roaster Löfbergs has announced plans to build a new roasting facility in Karlstad to meet rising demand.

Founded in 1906, Löfbergs currently operates across ten markets in northern Europe. The business said its sales, half of which are generated in Sweden, are on an upward trajectory and, as a result, production output is predicted to increase 30% across the next two years.

“This is an investment permeated with a belief in the future. We are going to grow with about 30 per cent up to 2026 and we can manage that with the facilities we have, but we need to bring in more capacity to reach the next level,” said Kathrine Löfberg, Chair of the Board, Löfbergs.
