The conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo has negatively affected coffee production in the region, with women farmers facing increased dangers and challenges, but cooperatives like the Association Solidarite des Cooperations pour le Developpement et la Vulgarisation Agricole (SOCODEVA) are providing support and resources to help smallholders and women farmers maintain their coffee fields and improve their livelihoods.
