Thai coffee startup Ve/la is expanding globally with its first store in the UK, which will open in the first quarter of next year.
Ve/la, founded in 2021, is owned by the lifestyle brand Apostofi and has eight outlets in Bangkok.
The brand also plans to launch in South Korea.
The Bangkok-based cafe also sells packaged coffee in markets including Singapore, the UAE, Qatar, and South Korea. According to Ve/la, its packaging is completely biodegradable.
“The brand understands the importance of making the barrier to entry to specialty coffee less daunting,” the company declares on its website. “Ve/la’s inventive gradients and coffee selection explanations prompt customers to try coffees they’ve never tried before, and the best part is, the brand is only in its first steps.”
Founded in Bangkok’s Sukhumvit, Apostofi Group is home to brands including coffee chain Ve/la, art and stationery brand Mediums and the contemporary dining restaurant Gardens.
