SPC Group has announced its Paris Baguette bakery-café chain has exceeded 500 stores outside of its native South Korea following recent outlet growth in the US, Canada and China.
Founded in Seoul in 1988, Paris Baguette made its international debut in Shanghai, China, in September 2004. It currently operates more than 3,600 stores in South Korea and has scaled its international presence across 10 markets.
The bakery-café chain has opened 50 net new international stores this year, including new US outlets in Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey this month. Paris Baguette has also unveiled new sites in Toronto, Canada, and Shanghai, Beijing and Xi'an in China within the last few weeks.
The brand reached its 500-store milestone with an outlet at Changi Airport in Singapore, a market heralded as a strategic outpost for its planned Middle East debut.
While a timeframe for its launch in the Middle East has not been confirmed, Paris Baguette has outlined plans to open 50 further international stores by the end of 2023, including its first outlet in the Philippines.
Paris Baguette also has stores in the UK, France, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Indonesia.
