Japan-headquartered upmarket coffee chain %Arabica has opened its first drive-thru outlet in Asia – at Golf Island PIK in Jakarta.
The drive-thru store is the chain’s fifth outlet in the city and the seventh across Indonesia.
%Arabica partnered with Japan’s No. 10 to design the huge glass house store, which features a 360-degree seating and a garden outside.
The new outlet comes after the company opened its first drive-thru site in Kuwait in August 2020 ahead of five more outlets afterwards in the Middle Eastern market, according to World Coffee Portal.
Currently, the company has 171 outlets across 23 markets globally.
In July this year, %Arabica inked a franchise agreement with Soho Middle East to open outlets in France, Germany, Portugal, and Greece.
The company also has agreements to open locations in Hungary, Jordan, Spain, Mexico, Turkey, Egypt and Nepal.
