Morrocan coffee brand Bacha Coffee has reached an exclusive franchise and distribution agreement with Lotte Department Store to launch its first presence in South Korea.
After 18 months of negotiation with V3 Gourmet Group, the first physical store is slated to open in July in Seoul’s Cheongdam-dong district. According to Lotte, it expects to open more stores through various channels, including department stores, as well as build an e-commerce presence and form B2B partnerships.
Bach Coffee – dubbed the “Hermes of coffee” – was established at Marrakech’s Dar el Bacha palace in 1910 and it currently has locations in countries including France, Hong Kong and Singapore.
The company is well-known for its 100 per cent Arabica coffees, gifts, coffee shops, and takeaways, as well as international distribution and professional wholesale.
Bacha Coffee is also broadening its expansion by launching its first locations in Taiwan and the UAE this month.
